As per the new guidelines of the Housing and Urban Development ministry, builders will now have to allocate 20% of their parking space exclusively for Electric Vehicles and Electric Vehicle fast charging stations. These guidelines will apply to both residential and commercial buildings. With these guidelines the ministry wants to achieve at least one fats charging station every three km in the city.
