In an important development on Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure, the government on 15th February 2019 approved amendments to Model Building Bye Laws 2016 and Urban Regional Development Plans Formulation and Implementation Guidelines 2014 with the objective to set up Fast Charging Stations for electric vehicles across the country. The governments aim is to manage to get electric vehicles to at least 25% of the market share by 2030.
