In yet another positive development for Electric Vehicles. Electricity Regulatory Commission of Chandigarh has notified special discounted rates for electricity consumed at DC Electric Vehicle Fast Charging stations and AC Electric Vehicle Chargers for charging of Electric Vehicles. The rates notified at Rs. 4/= per kWh which is much lower than the normal commercial tariffs. This will prove to be another major incentive for electric vehicles as the cost of running them will reduced further. Chandigarh is probably the 1st state/ UT to do this. It is very likely that other states will soon follow suit.
