Niti Aayog has proposed subsidies for Electric Vehicle battery manufacturing units in India. Through this subsidy the Aayog plans to incentivize and facilitate better technology’s adoption in India. This move will greatly assist in reducing the costs of Electric Vehicles in the country. Highest benefits are proposed to accrue to those battery technologies which can take up charge faster when hooked into DC Fast Charging Stations. Extensive network for DC Fast chargers is planned by the government.
