In January 2019, the finance ministry inducted 15 Mahindra Electric Vehicles E Veritos in its fleet and opened 28 Electric Vehicle charging stations in North Block Delhi. Of these 28 charging points four are DC Fast Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and the rest are AC Slow Chargers. The Department of Economic affairs expects to save about 36, 000 liters of fuel every year with this induction.
