It is only a matter of time that India catches up with rest of the world with respect to Electric Vehicles population / market share. Oil prices and pollution levels are a very serious concern for us as well. In fact, India has committed to the International community that we will reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 30 – 35% by 2030. This target cannot be achieved unless significant reduction is made in vehicular emission. The government has recently shifted focus to subsidizing electric vehicles being used for public transportation like taxis and buses. And this is showing its positive effect. Some All India Permit Electric Vehicles are now visible on the road in Delhi NCR.
