The Delhi Government in order to curb pollution has gone ahead with its decision to put 1000 Electric Buses on Delhi roads. The initial cost of these buses is likely to be about Rs. 75 lakhs each. They shall come with a recurring cost of about Rs. 500 crores per annum (for 1000 buses). The Electric Vehicle Fast charging stations for these buses are planned to be installed mostly at the Bus Depot’s. Some charging stations may be placed outside the depots as well.
