The government’s target regarding Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure has been divided into phases. In the 1st phase which is to be completed by 2021 cities with population of over 40 lakhs are to be covered. That will be followed by all state capitals and Union territories by 2023. The government has budgeted for Rs. 5000 Crores to roll out Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure.
