The newly re-elected Indian Government continues to push the Pedal on Electric Vehicles. In an announcement expected soon the government is highly likely to order cab aggregators like Ola and Uber to shift their cab fleets to Electric Vehicles. The announcement will set milestone for this goal. It is widely expected that the goal will be 40% of the fleet should be Electric Vehicles by April 2026. Thus far the cab aggregators had been reluctant because of the lack of charging infrastructure. However, with the new incentives in place that may be a thing of the past. A large number of companies and entrepreneurs are getting into charging infrastructure and installing DC Electric Vehicle Fast Charging stations at numerous locations.
