The soon to be released Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy is likely to announce additional incentives (over and above the ones that the Central Government provides by its FAME II scheme) for delivery companies to shift their mode of transport to electric vehicles. This would certainly be a welcome step as a large number of app-based companies like Amazon, Swiggy, Grofers etc can shift to Electric Scooters and Vans for delivery. This in turn will have a positive impact on the air quality of Delhi. The Delhi government has already announced additional incentives for setting up DC Electric Vehicle Fast Charging stations.
